Not all days can be as grand…

Today I woke up with a skip in my step, the likes of which I haven’t seen in quite some time. Honestly, for the first time in a while, I was TRULY happy. I wrote Philippians 4:8 on my wrist to keep the positive thoughts flowing:
“Finally, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, dwell on these things.”

As the day progressed, I realized how important it is to actually focus on these things. Sometimes it can be SO easy to let the day slip away from you, to let dark thoughts and incredibly sinister things rule you. Sometimes, it seems so temporarily satisfying to plot vengeance out and to let hate reign. But all of those things will eventually destroy you. So if you do one thing today, take a deep breath, and think about all that is lovely, right, pure, true, noble, admirable, excellent and praise worthy in your life.
Let God do the rest. =)

I'm basically your modern-day gypsy (and I have the Czechoslovakian bloodline to back it up.). Life is meant to be lived & enjoyed. On November 5th, 2011 I married the love of my life, the one and only Mr. Geopherie Clemmons. I sing, dabble in vintage clothing sales, photography, voice over work, teaching, jewelery design and whatever else holds my interest for the moment, including this blog.
